Velana International Airport Unveils Koveli Lounge at Terminal 1

Velana International Airport (VIA) inaugurated new Koveli Lounge at Terminal 1. The ceremony was led by Minister of Economic Development and Trade, Mohamed Saeed, alongside Maldives Airports Company Limited (MACL) CEO and Managing Director Ibrahim Shareef Mohamed. They were joined by Deputy Managing Directors Mohamed Lamman and Mujthaba Latheef, as well as senior members of MACL’s executive team.

The Koveli Lounge introduces a new dimension to passenger experience at VIA, offering a refined and welcoming environment for travelers transiting through the airport’s international terminal.

The launch of the Koveli Lounge complements recent infrastructure upgrades at VIA, including the phased opening of the new international terminal. Together, these developments underscore MACL’s commitment to enhancing operational capacity, improving passenger flow, and delivering a seamless travel experience that meets international standards.
