Maldives Airports Company Limited (MACL) has recorded a new operational milestone, handling 100 tonnes of transshipment cargo in a single day at Velana International Airport. This marks the highest single-day volume of transshipment cargo processed by the company to date.

The achievement reflects MACL’s expanding role in regional cargo logistics and supports its stated objective of positioning Velana International Airport as a transshipment hub in the Indian Ocean.
