Maldivian Opens Cadet Pilot Recruitment for DHC-6 Seaplane Twin Otter

Maldives’ national airline, Maldivian, has announced recruitment for cadet pilots to join its DHC-6 Twin Otter seaplane operations.

Eligibility Requirements

To apply, candidates must meet the following criteria:

• Hold a valid CPL(A) with Multi-Engine Instrument Rating

• Have passed ATPL(A) theoretical exams under MCAA Part-FCL

• Possess a qualification at MNQF Level 3 or higher (e.g., three GCSE passes at grade C or above, excluding Dhivehi and Islam)

• Hold a Class 1 Aviation Medical Certificate

• Have ICAO Level 4 English proficiency or higher, with at least six months before expiry

Successful candidates will be offered a competitive employment package, which includes health insurance coverage for both staff and their dependents under the company’s corporate policy. They will also receive rebated travel privileges on Maldivian operated flights, access to credit facilities through selected financial institutions, and discounts from designated vendors.

Selected cadet pilots will be assigned to the Flight Operations Department based at Velana International Airport, the central hub for Maldivian’s seaplane operations. The deadline for submitting applications is 13th August 2025. Only Maldivian nationals are eligible to apply, and incomplete or non-compliant applications will be disqualified.
