Aviation Maintenance Technician Day is celebrated each year on the 24th of May to recognize the efforts of aviation maintenance professionals as well as their achievements.
The date 24th May is selected in the honor of Charles Edward Taylor, the man who built the engine used to power the very first airplane of the Wright Brothers.
Charles Edward Taylor was born on 24th May 1868. He was inducted into the National Aviation Hall of Fame in 1965.
Aircraft Maintenance Technician‘s (AMT) inspects, performs, or supervises maintenance, preventive maintenance, repairs, and alteration of aircraft and aircraft systems.
They ensure that airplanes are airworthy and ready to safely conquer the skies before the flight crew steps in the aircraft.
We like to send Aviation Maintenance Technicians Day greetings to all aircraft maintenance professionals in the field.
