Manta Air Celebrates Two Year Of Seaplane Operations

Manta Air received its Air Operator Certificate (AOC) on 21st February 2019 and officially began commercial flight services 3 days later.


Four DHC6 Twin Otters were brought and the airline's seaplane operations were officially launched on 18th November 2019.


The flight was operated to Hotel Riu resort as the first airline to provide scheduled seaplane service‘s in the Maldives.


Since then the airline has acquired additional Twin Otters and commenced flights to various other destinations.


In addition to the Twin Otters, Manta Air operates 3 ATR 72-600 flying primarily to Dharavandhoo Airport and Dhaalu Airport from Velana International Airport.
