Go Air Rebranded As Go First Shifting to Ultra-Low-Cost Airline Model

Indian low-cost airline Go Air was rebranded as Go First last month with the motto “You Come First”. Go First will be switching to an ultra-low-cost airline model.

Go First plans to gain an advantage over its competitors with the new strategy and grow steadily to overcome the impacts of the pandemic on the airline.

“As young India changes the way it travels, seeking speed, convenience, and yet demanding value, Go First is determined to be part of the socio-economic momentum to chart its next phase of growth,” - Go First

Five of the seven largest scheduled operators in India follow the low-cost airline model with Go First in fifth place in terms of market share.

Go First was established as Go Air 15 years ago by Indian business conglomerate Wadia Group.

Before the pandemic, the airline has grown to operate to 38 destinations with a fleet of 55 aircraft.
