During Landing, A Congo Airways Dash-Q400 Struck A Motorcyclist Who Was Crossing The Runway

The Congo Airways De Havilland Dash 8-400, registration 9S-AAN was performing a flight from Mbuji-Mayi to Lubumbashi in Congo with 18 passengers and 5 crew.

During landing in Lubumbashi, the Dash-8 struck a motorcyclist who was crossing the runway at the time.

The motorcycle was totaled and the aircraft received damage to its tires. The motorcyclist received serious injuries and was taken to the hospital. An investigation has been opened by the DR Congo's Transport Ministry.
