Addu Flying School students boycott meeting with the General Manager of AAA

Students enrolled at the Asian Academy of Aeronautics boycotted the meeting arranged with AAA general manager Mr. Fazeel Rasheed.

Fazeel Rasheed has earlier blamed students for the failure of course completion even though the school is run over capacity with only 1-3 aircraft available for training on average for the last few years.

The meeting was arranged by an appointee from Maldives Civil Aviation Authority to assist AAA students in Addu City.

The student's concerns have been brought to the attention of the Ministry of Transport and Civil Aviation, Ministry of Education, People’s Majlis, etc.

AAA most recently blamed the inability of access to USD to acquire spare parts for the aircraft as a reason for the major delay in bringing aircraft into service.

The government of Maldives has already given exchange money worth USD 200,000 from Maldivian Rufiyaa to US Dollars for the academy.

Students are less eager to attend any meeting with GM as the school has repeatedly failed to provide students with a solution.
