Maldives Airports Company Limited (MACL) has started a series of career expo sessions for Secondary School students.
The first session of this initiative was held yesterday at Velana International Airport (VIA).
The expo aims to provide important information for students who desire career opportunities in the aviation sector.
During the expo, students were briefed on subjects in grade school that will help them pursue different aviation sector careers.
Students were informed on various functions of MACL as an airport operating company and the operations of Velana International Airport which include the operations and functions of Terminal Services, Passenger Services, Commercial, Ramp, Airport Emergency Services and Air Traffic Control.
In total 38 students from Thaajuddeen School and Billabong High International School participated in the career expo yesterday and MACL intends to expand this expo to additional schools.
