Sri Lanka’s private airline FitsAir to lease Dash-8 Q400s for international passenger flights scheduled to begin this March.
FitsAir operates scheduled flights and charter flights on demand within Sri Lanka and to several cities in the Middle East, Asia, and Africa.
The airline initially planned to operate passenger flights from Ratmalana International Airport in 2021 but the project faced delays due to the pandemic.
Two Dash-8 Q400s in 78 seat configuration will be initially leased and two additional Dash 8-Q400s will be added by September 2022.
FitsAir plans to launch flights in March operating to Male’, Maldives, and various cities in India.
