An Air-force Aircraft With Engine Issues Performed An Emergency Landing In VIA

A Royal Australian Air-force aircraft performed an emergency landing at Velana International Airport (VIA) this afternoon.

The Air-force Hercules C130 reportedly faced technical issues with one of the engines of the aircraft and diverted to VIA.

The aircraft landed safely in VIA and no emergency assistance was required.

Pilots are required to declare an emergency for multiple reasons including experiencing issues with major systems of an aircraft.

Airport emergency services are always on standby at any given time just in case for any emergency without advance notice.
