In 2019, Four Seasons Resorts Maldives unveiled its exclusive seaplane; “The Flying Triggerfish” and the resort is now adding a second one.
The Four Seasons "Flying Triggerfish" ; a De Havilland DHC6-300 Twin Otter’s livery was designed inspired by the Picasso triggerfish found in Maldivian waters.
The Twin Otter’s interior was completely customised inside and out with refurbished floor, ceiling and sidewalls and an enhanced Garmin 950NXi avionics suite and is operated by the largest seaplane airline in the world, Trans Maldivian Airways.
The new addition, a DHC6-200HG series Twin Otter also features another special livery by the resosr. The Twin Otter is painted in bright yellow with black spots similar to a Yellow Boxfish with the Four Season Logo on the tail.
On 12th December, the aircraft departed on the ferry to the Maldives from Switzerland. Upon arrival, the aircraft will be configured with floats to operate in the Maldives as a seaplane.
