National airline Maldivian has commenced scheduled seaplane flights to Baa Atoll Fulhadhoo.
Initially, Maldivian operated inaugural flight to Fulhadhoo in June last year after three years of discussions between tourism stakeholders in Baa Atoll and Maldivian to launch such a service.
Maldivian will operate scheduled weekly flights on the DHC6 Seaplane Twin Otter to Baa Fulhadhoo on Sundays and Thursdays.
This initiative would immensely boost local tourism and presently is the only such service in the Maldives as there is no scheduled seaplane operation to any local Island.
