FlyDubai Reports USD 327 Million Profit, Highest In 15-Year History


In the latest financial reports issued UAE carrier flydubai has reported a USD 327 million profit for 2022.



This follows after a 72% increase in revenue compared to 2021 and the USD 327 million profit is the carrier's highest in its 15-year history.


"flydubai’s record performance for 2022 is a direct result of the carrier’s strong business model as well as its adaptability and agility during challenging times, which has cemented its position as a key contributor to the success of Dubai’s aviation hub." Sheikh Ahmed bin Saeed Al Maktoum, Chairman,  flydubai.

In 2022 flydubai carried over 10.6 million passengers which is an 89% increase compared to 2021. Just for the FIFA World Cup 2022 the carrier operated 1,290 flights carrying 130,000 passengers.


Additionally, flydubai added 17 new aircraft in 2022 and wet-leased four more further strengthening its capacity.


Flydubai operates multiple flights daily to Velana International Airport (VIA) from UAE and also to Sri Lanka. The carrier is also preparing to launch flights to Addu International Airport in mid-2023.
