The Indian carrier initially ordered 30 A350 aircraft in April 2024, accompanied by an option for 70 additional units. With this new confirmation, IndiGo has secured half of its optional order, further strengthening its fleet strategy.

Airbus is scheduled to begin deliveries of the A350-900s to IndiGo between 2027 and the early part of the next decade. The second batch of 30 A350-900 aircraft will be delivered from the early part of the next decade through its second half, ensuring a steady integration of modern, fuel-efficient wide-body jets into IndiGo’s fleet.

This expansion underscores IndiGo’s commitment to long-haul operations, offering passengers advanced comfort, increased efficiency, and superior performance with the Airbus A350’s next-generation technology. As the airline prepares to introduce these wide-body aircraft, it is poised to enhance its market presence and redefine its global operations.
