Maldivian Conducts Test Flight to Muli Airport

Maldivian, the national airline of the Maldives, carried out test flight to Muli Airport in Meemu Atoll today. This milestone marks a key step in the airport's development, ensuring its readiness for future operations.

The Dash8-300 registration  8Q-IAK landed on Muli Airport’s newly constructed 1,200-meter runway. Muli Airport, situated on a 40-hectare reclaimed area, has been developed to address the transportation needs of Meemu Atoll, an area that previously lacked an airport.

The project, valued at over USD 14 million, includes facilities designed to accommodate domestic flights.
