Kuredu Holdings And Maldivian Signs Agreement To Operate Madivaru Airport

Kuredu Holdings, a subsidiary of Crown & Champa and national airline Maldivian has reached an agreement to operate Madivaru Airport in Lhaviyani Atoll.


Kuredu Holdings was awarded the contract for the construction of Madivaru airport during 2018 which included land reclamation from Madivaru’s lagoon, building a 1200m runway, a passenger terminal and etc.

Maldivian has said the two parties are carrying out final works to begin commercial scheduled flight services to Madivaru from February.


At present Maldivian operates 3 domestic airports (Dharavandhoo Airport, Ifuru Airport, Thimarafushi Airport) and 1 international airport ( Maafaru International Airport).
