Aeroflot and Pobeda Resume Abu Dhabi Flights After Seven-Month Break

Aeroflot restarted daily Moscow–Abu Dhabi service on October 1, with low-cost carrier Pobeda set to launch the same route on October 25.

Aeroflot resumed daily flights from Moscow Sheremetyevo to Abu Dhabi on October 1. The inaugural service, flight SU530, departed at 08:05 Moscow time with a nearly full commercial load, the carrier said.
The route is operated by Boeing 737-800 aircraft in a two-class configuration, offering business and economy cabins. Flight time ranges from approximately 5 hours 48 minutes to 6 hours 45 minutes depending on routing. One-way fares from Moscow start at 48,000 rubles for October departures.
The resumption ends a suspension that began in March 2026, when heightened regional tensions led to the closure of airspace across several Middle Eastern countries.
Pobeda, the Aeroflot Group's low-cost subsidiary, will begin its own Moscow–Abu Dhabi service on October 25. Flights will operate four times weekly on Mondays, Wednesdays, Fridays, and Sundays from Vnukovo Airport, with the schedule valid through March 27, 2027.
The return of scheduled flights between Moscow and Abu Dhabi reflects a gradual normalization of air links between Russia and the Gulf region. Aeroflot had previously resumed its Moscow–Dubai route in June before extending its UAE network back to the Emirati capital.
Together, the two carriers will offer up to eleven weekly flights between Moscow and Abu Dhabi, providing travelers with a mix of full-service and low-cost options on the route.
