Qatar Airways has confirmed a major expansion in the Americas with the launch of new services to Caracas, Venezuela, and Bogotá, Colombia, beginning 22 July 2026. The move marks a significant milestone for the airline, which will become the first Gulf carrier to operate in Venezuela and the first airline to offer direct flights from the Middle East to both Caracas and Bogotá.

The new route will operate twice weekly, enhancing travel options between the Middle East and South America. The schedule is designed to provide seamless onward connections through Hamad International Airport to major destinations including Australia, China, Japan, Lebanon, South Korea, and the UAE, offering passengers greater flexibility across Qatar Airways’ global network.

Flight schedule (Wednesdays and Sundays):

Doha (DOH) → Bogotá (BOG) – QR783 departs 07:30, arrives 16:05

Bogotá (BOG) → Caracas (CCS) – QR783 departs 17:35, arrives 20:40

Caracas (CCS) → Doha (DOH) – QR783 departs 22:40, arrives 19:55 (+1)

With the addition of Caracas and Bogotá, Qatar Airways expands its footprint in the Americas to 16 destinations. The airline first entered the South American market in 2010 with flights to São Paulo, Brazil, and has since continued to grow its presence across the continent.

Qatar Airways is rebuilding its global network to more than 160 destinations this summer, reinforcing its position as one of the world’s leading international carriers. Tickets for the new South American services are available through qatarairways.com and the airline’s mobile app.
