A Bombardier Air Canada Express CRJ‑900 collided with an airport fire truck on Runway 4 at New York’s LaGuardia Airport, resulting in multiple injuries and a full suspension of airport operations, according to early official statements and confirmed media reports.

The aircraft, operating a scheduled service from Montreal to LaGuardia, was in the landing phase when it made contact with the fire truck positioned on the runway. The Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) confirmed that a ground stop was issued immediately after the collision, with all arrivals and departures halted as emergency crews responded.

Authorities have confirmed several injuries, including serious injuries to the flight crew, but no official confirmation of fatalities has been issued at this time. Early unverified reports circulating online have suggested higher casualty figures, but officials have not validated these claims.

Air traffic control recordings captured moments before the impact indicate that the fire truck had been cleared to cross the runway, followed by urgent calls from the controller instructing the vehicle to stop as the aircraft approached. The collision occurred seconds later, prompting immediate emergency response and evacuation of passengers.
