The Maldives Meteorological Service (MMS) has introduced its refreshed brand identity, marking an important institutional milestone as the agency strengthens its role as the national provider of weather, climate, and early warning services.

The updated branding is designed to improve how MMS communicates critical information to the public, supporting national efforts to safeguard lives, livelihoods, and long‑term resilience in the face of increasing climate risks. According to MMS, the new identity reflects its expanding mandate and its commitment to delivering clear, trusted, and accessible meteorological services across the country.

The rebranding was developed with support from the Thayyaaru Project, funded by the China International Development Cooperation Agency (CIDCA) and implemented by the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP). The project focuses on enhancing early warning systems and strengthening climate‑related communication in the Maldives.

MMS stated that the refreshed brand will be rolled out across its platforms and public communication channels, ensuring that official weather and climate information is easily recognizable and consistent nationwide.
