MACL Commences Development of Nellaidhoo Fitness & Recreation Center

Maldives Airports Company Limited (MACL) has commenced development of a new fitness and recreation center on Nellaidhoo Island, as part of a government-led initiative to establish such facilities across the country.

The project was formally launched at a ceremony attended by MACL CEO and Managing Director Ibrahim Shareef Mohamed, Minister of Sports, Fitness and Recreation Abdulla Raafiu, and Nelaidhoo Council President Mohamed Aleef.

The Nelaidhoo facility is one of 63 centers MACL has been contracted to build under the administration’s nationwide wellness program. The initiative aims to improve access to fitness infrastructure across all islands by the end of 2026.
