Finnair ATR 72 Strikes Ground Power Unit at Helsinki Airport

A Finnair ATR 72-500, registration OH-ATE encountered a ground incident at Helsinki–Vantaa Airport on August 16, 2025. During taxi, the aircraft’s right propeller blades struck a ground power unit (GPU) parked on the apron.

The impact resulted in damage to the aircraft, and there were no reported injuries to passengers, crew, or ground staff. The affected flight, operating as FIN1175, was subsequently cancelled.
