Following the reopening of airspace in Qatar and the UAE after recent missile-related tensions, flight operations are gradually stabilizing but not without disruptions. On June 24, Qatar Airways cancelled flight QR676 to the Maldives, while Emirates continues to operate its Maldives bound services as scheduled.

The cancellations come in the wake of Iranian missile strikes on June 23, which prompted temporary airspace closures across the Gulf. Although both Qatar and the UAE have since reopened their skies, airlines are still navigating the aftermath.

Emirates Airlines confirmed that while several of its flights were rerouted en route to Dubai on June 23, no diversions occurred. The airline stated that it had conducted a thorough risk assessment and would continue operating flights using routes well clear of conflict zones. Passengers may experience minor delays due to longer flight paths or airspace congestion, but Emirates teams are working to minimize inconvenience.

Meanwhile, Qatar Airways has resumed most of its operations following the reopening of Qatari airspace. The airline emphasized its commitment to helping passengers return home or reach their destinations safely, deploying additional ground staff at Hamad International Airport to assist with the transition.

Travelers are advised to check with their airlines for the latest updates as Gulf carriers continue to adjust schedules in response to evolving conditions.
