Etihad Airways to Increase Flight Frequency to Maldives


Etihad Airways, the national carrier of the United Arab Emirates, has unveiled an ambitious network overhaul, positioning the airline for sustainable expansion while improving Abu Dhabi’s links to global markets.



In order to support the economic and tourism development of Abu Dhabi, Etihad is increasing the frequency of flights to key international destinations, improving accessibility and reinforcing the emirate’s position as a hub for global travelers.


Starting from December 1st, Etihad Airways will operate an additional 3 flights to Velana International Airport, followed by 4 more additional flights from January 1st, bringing the total number of weekly flights to 14 by the beginning of the new year.


Antonoaldo Neves, Chief Executive Officer of Etihad Airways, said:
