Maldives based premium leisure carrier Beond has been named the Indian Ocean’s Leading Airline Brand 2025 by the World Travel Awards, marking a notable milestone in its early operational trajectory. The recognition comes less than two years after the airline commenced commercial service, positioning itself as a niche operator focused on high-end leisure travel.

Beond operates an all-premium configuration using Airbus A319 and A321 aircraft, offering lie-flat seating across the cabin. The airline targets affluent leisure travelers with direct services to the Maldives from key markets including Dubai, Munich, Milan, Zurich, and Riyadh. Its business model centers on delivering a boutique experience, with plans to expand to 54 destinations in 39 countries by 2028.
The World Travel Awards honor follows a series of industry accolades for Beond, including:
Cabin Concept of the Year 2024 – Onboard Hospitality Awards
Best New Livery 2024 – The DesignAir Awards
Most Improved / Best New Airline Brand 2024 – The DesignAir Awards
While Beond remains a niche operator, its focused strategy and brand-led approach have garnered attention within the industry. The World Travel Awards recognition underscores its early impact in the Indian Ocean region, though sustained performance and scalability will be key as the airline moves into its next phase of growth.
