Tourist arrivals to the Maldives saw a significant increase with 101,818 tourists arriving in July making it a 81% increase in comparison to June.
Russian and Indian tourists continued to dominate the arrival market with 30% market share.
The highest number of tourists arrived from Russia with 18,153 tourists arrivals and India followed in second with 13,520 tourists arrivals.
Saudi Arabia is came in third with 9,626 tourist arrivals followed by Germany in fourth place with 6,079.
Tourists arrivals were impacted heavily in June due to the travel ban on South Asian countries.
With the lift on travel restrictions, multiple carriers immediately resumed flights to Maldives with the most flights from India.
