BREAKING: A Transair Boeing 737 Makes Emergency Landing In Water Near Honolulu Hawaii

A Transair Boeing 737 aircraft just made an emergency landing in the water near Honolulu, Hawaii.


The Boeing 737 took off from Honolulu's Daniel K. Inouye International Airport. The crew of the cargo aircraft reported engine troubles to the air traffic controller before they were forced to ditch the aircraft in the water.

"We've lost number one engine and we're coming straight to the airport, We're going to lose the other engine, too. It's running very hot." - The crew reported to ATC.

The coast guard reported the aircraft had ditched in the waters about 2nm short of Kalaeloa Airport.

Both crew were found and were taken to Queens Medical Center however their condition is yet unknown.

The US Federal Aviation Administration released a statement acknowledging the 737 ditching in the water.
