A Jet2 Airbus A321 Diverts Mid-Flight To Send Passengers To Toilet

In an unusual occurrence, a passenger airplane was required to divert mid-flight in order to allow passengers to go use the toilet.

A Jet2 Airbus A321 with 200 passengers on board was operating a flight from Las Palmas to Manchester before performing an unscheduled stop to Bilbao to allow the passengers to go use the toilet.

The A321’s lavatories were not working and the plane departed for the flight after spending two additional hours on the ground.

The aircraft has four lavatories however the toilet tanks needed to be emptied first.

Following the diversion, the aircraft continued to its final destination after allowing passengers to use the toilets at the airport.
