National Airline Maldivian operated the inaugural flights to Colombo International Airport Ratmalana on 27th March 2022 planning to continue scheduled flights at the end of Ramadan.
The flights were to be operated on the airline’s 50 seaters De Havilland Dash-8 with flight frequency to be increased as per demand with return ticket fare costing USD 299.
Maldivian has revealed now that the carrier will suspend flights to Ratmalana Airport until the current crisis improves.
Initially, along with the inaugural flights earlier in March, three additional back to back flights were scheduled for the immediate days after which too were cancelled.
