A Go First airlines operating flight to Male’, Maldives from Bengaluru, India performed an emergency landing yesterday in Coimbatore.
The aircraft after an hour from departure; one of the engines overheat warning alerted the flight deck prompting the crew to declare urgency.
A full state emergency was declared at Coimbatore airport in response and the aircraft landed safely.
According to primary reports the aircraft may have had a technical glitch and the Indian Directorate General of Civil Aviation (DGCA) said that the alarm was a 'false' indication.
